In addition to the successes that Disney has reaped in its almost one hundred years of existence, the Californian company also has the products of companies of its own property such as Pixar, Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm (producer of "Star Wars") and 20th Century Fox (producer of "The Simpsons").
Iger's resignation to Apple's board of directors must therefore be framed in a new context in which Disney and the iPhone manufacturer, who had collaborated in the past, will become direct competitors in the world of audiovisual entertainment on the Internet.
