The governor of the Central Bank of the Dominican Republic (BCRD), Héctor Valdez Albizu said that to date RD $ 19,124 million of the RD $ 34,000 have been released that were announced by the Monetary Board of the legal reserve of banks for loans to various productive sectors of the country.

During his welcome speech at the VIII International Communication Seminar, Valdez Albizu announced, in addition, that it has been decided to make the use of sectoral resources more flexible for all banks to be used in interim and finished housing loans so that there is greater revitalization of credits in the country.

Valdez Albizu explained that the BCRD maintains its position that the Dominican economy reaches a growth of about 5%.

He stressed that adjustments in the monetary policy rate have allowed greater mobility of resources.

Seminar

Today the BCRD holds the VIII International Communication Seminar with the main theme “The dircom in the face of new global communication trends” with the participation of several experts in the area.

The governor stressed that currently the work of the directors of communication departments (dircom) goes far beyond traditional press management and involves active participation in vital issues such as digital transformation, big data, reputation management or the connection with the audience through a socially necessary common purpose.
