The Casablanca Stock Exchange ended the period from August 26 to August 30, 2019, its two main indices, Masi and Madex, respectively gaining 0.87% and 0.92%.
At the end of this week, the Masi, a global index composed of all equity-type stocks, stood at 11,710.94 points and the Madex, a compact index composed of continuously quoted securities, stood at 9,542.20 points.
Under these conditions, the "Year-To-Date" (YTD) performances of these two barometers are placed respectively at 3.05% and 3.35%.
As for international indices, the FTSE CSE Morocco 15 took 0.93% to 10,474.55 points and the FTSE Morocco All-Liquid pocketed 0.79% to 10,116.72 points.
Regarding the reference index Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) "Casablanca ESG 10", it rose 0.22% to 919.33 points.
On the sectoral level, 17 compartments of the 24 represented on the coast of Casablanca ended the week in beautiful colors, signing performances ranging from 4.73% for the sector of "Participation and Property Development" to 0.02% for the sector. of "Engineering & Industrial Equipment Goods".
On the downside, the "Leisure and Hotels" sector index dropped 4.82%, "Portfolio companies – Holdings" and "Chemicals" posted respective losses of 2.54% and 0.64%.
Market capitalization amounted to 601.88 billion dirhams (MMDH), while the overall volume amounted to more than 852.74 million dirhams (MDH).
During this period, the best weekly performances were the work of SMI (+ 27%), Dar Saada Residences (+ 20.47%), Microdata (+ 16.16%) and Timar 10.75%.
On the other hand, Jet Contractors (-8.96%), Colorado (-6.21%), Risma (-4.82%) and S.M Monetics (-3.89%) signed the largest decreases.
On the podium of the most active values of the week are Cosumar (44.95%), Itissalat Al-Maghrib (14.88%), Attijariwafa Bank (9.38%) and BCP (4.40%).
