Canada was one of the first of more than 50 countries to recognize Juan Guaidó as the legitimate leader of the country. Canada is not the only one to recognize the envoy of Guaidó as the designated diplomat of the South American nation. Other countries such as the US, Colombia, Brazil, Panama and Argentina have done the same.
