After their defeat (108-92) yesterday against Australia, Canada wonders if it will survive this group H of death (Australia, Lithuania, Senegal). Yet the Road Warriors have not been unworthy with a few moments of grace:

"We had extraordinary moments tonight. We just have to reiterate them and go from there. " Nick Nurse via Sportsnet.ca

amputated of many of their stars such as Kelly Olynyk, Andrew Wiggins, RJ Barrett, or Jamal Murray for example, while they had sent 17 invitations to NBA players for the training camp, Nick Nurse's men will face the Netherlands tomorrow as an outsider. Lithuanians have all their providential men (Jonas Valanciunas, Domantas Sabonis), and just beat Senegal at 101-47. Canada has no choice, we must win if they want to join the next round:

" I guess we will have to find the solutions. We really have no choice but to learn what we can from this game, to recover and replay ourselves. For us, we would have thought we had to win the first two (games) to have a chance– and of course the third (against Senegal on Thursday). We were hoping to win this one tonight and we did not do it, which puts us in a sort of scenario where we must win the next one. Nick Nurse

Nevertheless everything is not to throw. We still saw good performances from both NBA players Cory Joseph (16 points), Khem Birch (18 points), and the player from Barcelona Kevin Pangos (14 points, 8 assists). According to Nick Nurse, there is just the beginning and the end that were bad:

" The start was not very good and the end was not very good and I thought the environment was excellent. We did not seem to seize the opportunities when the ball was in our camp early in the game, and we were not particularly skilled in shooting … But we regrouped and made a sacred third quarter together. We haveuste had another bad time to start the fourth quarter and then a very bad moment in the middle of the fourth where we could not stop their assaults. Nick Nurse

Now we have to move on and move on, as Khem Birch says:

" We can not dwell on this game. We must move forward. We have to play as we did in the third quarter from the start of the next match. »Khem Birch

While they have not won a World Cup game since 2002, Canada will face the Baltic giants tomorrow at 1:30 pm (French time) before facing Thursday Senegal at 9:30. This world starts under bad auspices, but do not underestimate the heart of the Road Warriors that may create surprise.
