The Mexican world champion came to witness the competition 'Gloves for peace', days after the definitive closure of the penitentiary center

Monterrey.- The Mexican world champion, Andy Ruiz, went to the Topo Chico prison to witness the boxing competition "Gloves for Peace", 20 days after the prison finally closed its doors.

During his visit, the heavyweight champion lived with the prisoners along with Mexican Francisco Martínez "The Chihuas", super fly champion of the World Boxing Organization.

With the presence of Andy Ruiz and Francisco Martínez, 10 fights took place, the five fights were agreed to three rounds of three minutes with a 5-minute break between each round.

Around 74 boxers from different prisons were part of the tournament in the welterweight, light, superlight, medium and super heavy classifications.
