I never expected such sublime quality.

The Minister of Transport has fulfilled his election commitment. Veterans wishing to obtain the new license plate can apply to the Société de l 'assurance automobile du Québec.

This plaque is a duty of memory for all those who have fallen, who have recovered, who have returned wounded or otherwise. This plaque is for you.

The feminine side

Of note, the faces of a man and a woman have been integrated into the graphic elements. Quebec becomes the only province in Canada to explicitly recognize the contribution of women to the Canadian Armed Forces on the license plate of its veterans.

"During the war, women were considered auxiliary to the army, which is no longer the case today, says Pierre Dugal. I could not find a (other) North American plaque with (a female representative), "says the 68-year-old proudly.

A plaque bearing the poppy was already offered since 2005 to veterans, but the small pictogram was not representative enough, according to them. They asked for the addition of the terms "veterans" or "veterans", as in other Canadian provinces.

The new distinctive license plate will be available for $ 15, the same price as before.
