After the basins, Sami now launches on the floors. TF1 made official Tuesday the participation in the dance competition of the disabled athlete of 35 years. The athlete from Orleans, who underwent a lower amputation of his left leg, started swimming at the age of 5. Worn by a steel mind and his mantra "Nothing is real everything is possible" ("Nothing is real everything is possible"), he became French Champion in the 50m and 100m freestyle in 2008, 2009 and 2010. He also competed at the 2008 Paralympic Summer Games in Beijing and those in London in 2012.

This is the first time a person with a disability has participated in the show as a candidate. A way for TF1 to relay a beautiful message and to convey values of tolerance, acceptance and self-sacrifice, which seem to please the former sports-disabled athlete: "I'm proud to be part of this program and to be the first Paralympic athlete to be on the show"he told LCI. "One day, I thought I'd love to do this show"he continued.
