Four Ukrainian soldiers were killed when a Mi-8 helicopter crashed in the northwestern province of Ruvinskaya, Ukrainian ground forces said.

"At 4 pm on Wednesday (May 29th), a contact was lost with a helicopter," said a statement posted on the Ukrainian land forces' Facebook page: "Four crew members were killed as a result of an air disaster, MI-8 "military, which was on a training flight, and is currently identifying the causes of the disaster."

For his part, said the press center of the Ukrainian Emergency Service, that the helicopter was burned after the crash, and that rescuers extinguished the fire "
